SPACE RACERS

Suits teams of 2-4 people per team

Ideal Session Length: 2 hrs

Design a space craft that is required to meet three key design criteria.
Teams are given a pull back friction motor to power a space craft of their own design that will be “launched” across the floor. Each craft will be awarded points for their place in the distance travelled. However, additional points will be awarded for every weighted cargo module the craft is carrying. Teams can improve their score further by ensuring their craft is aesthetically pleasing.

Team members will need to bring their communication and negotiating skills, to plan and deliver a finished space craft that will earn as many points as possible across the three criteria: distance travelled, size of payload and aesthetics.
